cebas Visual Technology Inc. is glad to announce the release of an All-New Service Pack for thinkingParticles 5 and the availability of the plugin for 3ds Max 2014 and 3ds Max Design 2014. The build will also be compatible with 3ds Max and 3ds Max Design previous releases: 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
Service Pack 3 offers fixes to issues that were reported earlier by our always-amazing Beta testers and users!
The release features a NEW UI option, making behavior simulation that much enjoyable when used.
The NEW Service Pack offers the following:
- New Feature: Look Ahead Position - this new option is now available in SurfacePos and VolumePos. The option controls how object positons are acquired. It is checked/switched on by default, yet when off, the position is taken before the node is updated and moved.
- thinkingParticles 5 now offers an installation option for 3ds Max 2014 and 3ds Max Design 2014.
- Some random crashes have been isolated in volumeBreaker and fixed.
- SP3 fixes an issue with an incorrect boolean when the Simulation Start used a User Defined value.
- An issue within the position operator has been isolated and is now fixed.
- An Intersect issue along with the Texmap *Color Output has been isolated and fixed.
- pAttach offset on moving objects has been addressed.
- pAttach now functions properly in child alignment.
- An issue with pAttach only changing position was found and solved.
- pAttach introduced an unwanted offset - this has been isolated and corrected.
- An issue with the Spin changing on a cached particle affecting only the spin direction has been identified and fixed.
