New finalRender trueHybrid™ Major Release !

trueHybrid™ Rendering Core Overhaul expanding the power of CPU to GPU.

Victoria, BC, September 18, 2017 - cebas Visual Technology Inc. announced today the much-awaited release of the new finalRender, replacing version 3.5 SE. CG artists from Architecture, Interior, Visualization, Design and 3ds Max Modellers alike are now able to experience the power of unlimited network rendering by simply adding this option for the same cost of a single workstation license. finalRender uses Physically Based Spectral Wavelength Simulation to recreate optical effects on materials which are impossible for older generation ray-tracing systems. Cebas’ mission, as always, is to equip artists and designers with the best tools at the best available prices.

”In our quest to reinvent rendering technology, we obviously hit road blocks all the way” says Edwin Braun, CEO of cebas Visual Technology.

“When we started this journey, several years ago, the existing GPU hardware and the software was not ready at that time. It took us a painful amount of time to get where we are right now.”

“We are confident, we now have created the foundation of a totally new image creation and rendering experience we can build on for years to come! “

A Complete Core Overhaul

finalRender offers a complete core overhaul both in terms of offering GPU and CPU rendering as one truly integrated system. finalRender offers trueHybrid ™ technology where it does not matter if you use a GPU or a CPU both can be used in one single application. When time comes for the next big hardware upgrade the user is now free to choose to invest either in a new CPU workstation which might add a considerable cost, or just add a new or additional newer CUDA GPU device at a much lower cost but with the same speed enhancement. The CPU shelf life is extended and this is a major cost-saver for a lot of professionals and studios.

Physically Based (Spectral) Wavelength Simulation

One of new finalRender’s achievements is the spectral waveform simulation that recreates optical effects on materials which are impossible for older generation ray-tracing systems. Only Spectral-based Rendering, the way it is used in finalRender, is able to simulate effects such as Diffraction, Dispersion, Absorption, Iridescence and Interference to a high degree of realism, using real world physics and Monte Carlo sampling to simulate light energy transport within a 3D scene.

Great Light Types Choices

finalRender supports all of the standard lights in 3ds Max, and it comes with its very own highly optimized and fully multi-threaded IES light. This native area light is highly configurable and is meant to replace all light types you will ever need. Setting up lights and especially changing light setups becomes as simple as clicking a button on your mouse.

finalRender supports 360 Panoramic outputs for various video VR formats including 3D Stereoscopic VR output. 360 Panoramas, for example, are created with one click of a button and they are ready to be published on Facebook - all this - without any extra tool. It works right out of 3ds Max.

finalRender Subscription (Licensing model)

finalRender is offered as a yearly subscription, only. Several unlimited rendering options are available to choose from, and those can be added to the main workstation license option. The three available best options customized to users:
